Those who have the opportunity to change the world should do so for the benefit of others. This is exactly what NGOs, foundations and associations want to and can indeed achieve. With the founding of the Foundatio Ltd., I stand by organisations like that in precisely these great tasks with my professional expertise and human commitment.

From a young age onwards, I have strived for success academically, professionally, musically and athletically – but not at any price, and certainly not for just a short period of time. With a healthy amount of self-reflection, a daily challenge of my own performance limits, a lively curiosity about people and surroundings and without a business tunnel vision, I tackle the tasks on my way.

I am fascinated and inspired by the drive behind the idea of the foundation – with Foundatio Ltd. I can actively support and promote the values and aspirations of organisations that advocate for the good of society at large. I see my professional and personal background as a wonderful basis for these tasks.

I studied in Bayreuth, Madrid and Lausanne, achieved high sales growth as a product manager, optimised business processes and led audit teams as an auditor. I have lived in Costa Rica and Ukraine for more than ten years – in both countries as CFO; in Ukraine I also served as CEO. I implemented my employer’s strategies with teams of 50 to 280 people, including developing a vision and mission specifically designed for Ukraine. In my opinion, good cooperation works perfectly – also and often especially in networks or platforms that function in an organised way across borders and hierarchies – when trust forms the basis for working together. My trust in the people around me is strong because the achievements that promote this trust speak for themselves – it always comes full circle.

Personal maturity, high expectations of myself and my desire to always let the people around me be part of the change shape my approach to professional and personal tasks.

I play tennis and the trumpet, I enjoy running – at marathon level – and don’t let myself get sidetracked in sports or at work: I don’t give up quickly, although I like to make quick but prudent, sustainable and consistent decisions.

Always being open-minded and reliable is important to me as a supervisor and work colleague, on the same level as it is to radiate attentiveness and reliability as a fellow human being and father. I have two daughters and know how important it is that in the family as well as in my work life, “I say what I do and I do what I say“.
